SAHO 005-Queen Elizabeth National Park 3 days / 2 nights.

DAY 1:  After breakfast leave Kampala and drive southwards with a stopover at the Equator, take photographs then continue to Mbarara town for lunch. En route see Mpambire drum makers, near Mpigi town, where you will watch theceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations. Swamps , rain forests, herds of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns. Enter the park as you see some games. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or similar.

 

DAY 2:  Get up ready for a 6.30am morning game drive. The park’s diverse ecosystem of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife like elephant, lion, buffalo and bushbuck. Return to the lodge for late breakfast. After lunch, take the afternoon launch trip on the Kazinga Channel that separates lakes George and Edward. During the boat trip, the crowded Kazinga Channel gives visitors a unique wildlife experience. View hippos yawning surrounded by vast numbers of migrant and resident water birds, the boat puts one in the heart of nature. Many buffaloes rest in the water while big herds of elephant enjoy themselves drinking and playing along the Channel banks. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Similar.

 

DAY 3:  After breakfast, a guided walk takes you into the tropical Kyambura Gorge in search of chimpanzees. This hike involves climbing. In this unspoiled environment, birds and butterflies are all around, and you might also see other primates.  Return to Kampala with lunch en route and arrive early evening. End of service.
